In our previous notice Q2004-100 dated August 12, 2004, we informed distributors of our intent to add two channels to the Market Data Network.  The plan calls for Channel 5 to carry GLOBEX®-traded options market data in ITC 2.1 format and Channel 6 to carry GLOBEX-traded options market data in the RLC message format.  The tentative date of this change is Sunday, December 5, 2004.

To facilitate communication of the new Usernames and Passwords needed to access these channels, we will send this information to the Network contact at each distributor via email by November 12.

If a distributor has subscribed to ITC 2.1 Channels 1, 2, and 3, we will assume the distributor will want to subscribe to Channel 5, as GLOBEX options market data will no longer be send over Channel 2.  Likewise, if a distributor has subscribed to RLC Channel 4, we will assume the distributor will want to subscribe to Channel 6.  If a distributor subscribes to both the ITC 2.1 channels and the RLC channel, we will issue usernames and passwords for both new channels.

Testing of Channels 5 and 6 will be conducted on Friday, November 19, 2004 at approximately 4:45 p.m.     This will allow distributors to connect to these two new channels using their new usernames and passwords and receive GLOBEX options test data.  If you have any questions during the test, please contact Enterprise Computing Operations at 312.930.8160.
